THEATRE

ACTING

Emily began acting on the stage with a younger role in the high school's production of Fiddler on the Roof when she was in fifth grade. After this introduction to the world of theatre, she began doing many youth theatre shows and working backstage on the adult summer theatre shows until she was old enough to be in them herself. Emily also acted in several high school productions - both musicals and straight plays. Additionally, Emily was a volunteer assistant for a youth theatre camp for kids 8 years old or younger.

In college, Emily took classes on acting including Intro to Performance with Chris Staley and Acting 1 with Meg Prior. Emily also performed in and helped develop the devised performance piece that was walking tour of Pittsbught called Appalachian Paris directed by Cynthia Croot.

DANCE CAPTAIN

Because of her background in dance, Emily quickly became known to perform dance features in shows like Into the Woods, as well as take the position of Dance Captain in shows like Oliver!, Young Frankenstein, and Oklahoma! all directed by Judy Millar and choreographed by Kasey Latshaw.
